Only you can do what it takes to have the life
you want . . .
NOTABLE QUOTE:
"As A Man Thinketh In His Heart, So Is He." (James
Allen) (Also Proverbs 23:7-KJV)
What does this quote bring to mind for you?
For me, it means a person is, and brings into their life, the
things they think and believe in their heart.
In other words . . . You Are What You Think.
EXERCISE YOUR MIND:
Have you started the 30-day exercise from the last edition of
the newsletter? How is it going? Are you beginning to see the
results yet?
If you haven't started the exercise, why not? It's a simple
way to recognize the negative in your life and replace it with
positive. Once you have more positive and less stress, then you'll
be able to better focus on the goals you want to achieve!
What I'd like for you to do is finish your 30-day exercise from
the last edition of the newsletter. I know many of you haven't
had the full 30 days yet. This exercise is how I begin all of
my coaching and mentoring courses. When I do personal consultations
I also highly recommend this exercise.
Also, continue to work on your self-talk from the "Tips
for Life" section of the last edition. These two exercises
are a powerful combination to help fill your life with good,
positive words, thoughts, and situations.
RECOMMENDED READ:
I'm really excited to give you the recommend for this edition.
Acres of Diamonds
by Dr. Russell Conwell
This is another "classic" read. Like "As A Man
Thinketh", it's not very long at all. What makes it awesome
is the excellent perspective it gives on how most people think
the grass is greener . . . You get the picture. A truly profound
lesson! Happy Reading!

ON THE BUS:
(Life Lessons From Mass Transit)
A young guy boarded the already crowded bus and stood somewhere
behind me. He was talking on his cell phone and asked "Is
there anything you want to do tonight"? Then he asked "Anything
special you want for dinner"?
He told the person he was talking to he was on the bus and had to go. He closed
his phone. He then said aloud (to himself?) "Someday I hope to get more
than an 'I don't know'".
I felt like turning around and saying "What if you don't, then what?" or "Are
you hoping to change the way the person is?" or even "What will you
do if someday never comes?"
Being well-mannered, I didn't say anything to him. I felt a little sad for
him though. It made me wonder why people do the things they do sometimes when
they're clearly not happy or satisfied with areas of their life.
It also made me reflect on my own life and stuff I've "put up with" over
the years. When I was in my 20's I thought I could "change the person".
After that I thought maybe I should change. I finally learned the lesson that
I cannot change anyone. I have to love a person for who they are. In a relationship
I have to ask myself if I'm willing to live with the person just as they are.
I've often heard the phrase "there are teachers everywhere". Yes,
even on the bus!
